Our Story

Kristy, Founder of Tazzini

Passionate. Romantic. Ideal.

I created Tazzini for so many reasons. When I learned about the huge patches of plastic in nearly every waterway in the world, breaking down toxins into the food chain, I experienced a range of emotions. Sadness. Dismay. Anger. Grief. Determination and resolve. My young twins have had several health challenges related to our toxic environment, and my son has an ongoing immune system deficiency. A healthy diet has been essential to their health and recovery. Just how is a mom to keep her family healthy with such pervasive pollution? I was also dismayed to learn that less than 1 in 10 disposable bottles is actually recycled, and that recycling is a less than perfect solution. I learned that plastic toxins can leach into our food and drinks and cause major illnesses such as cancer, diabetes and premature puberty. I learned that bottled water creates far more problems than it actually solves. I remember travelling through developing Asian countries before I had my own children, and seeing mountains of empty plastic bottles piled by the oceanside roadways. I felt compelled to do something about all of these problems, so I started the design process for Tazzini bottles.

I created Tazzini not just for my family, but for everyone in the world. I know it sounds idealistic, but I don't want anyone to face illness and I don't want wildlife to suffer. I know we can do better at creating a healthy world and Tazzini is the kind of company that is helping to make that change, by offering products that are safe and healthy, durable and convenient. I carefully and thoughtfully designed our bottles so they will serve busy people for a long time. I'm proud to share they won "Best Product of the Year" at the Mom's In Business conference!

Giving back is important to me. That's why we donate a percentage of our proceeds to organizations that seek to prevent toxin-induced illnesses and to help those already affected. Click here to see friends of Tazzini.
