Our young son has an immune system deficiency caused by exposure to toxins in the enviroment. We support organizations that seek to find remedies to both prevent toxin-induced illnesses and help those who have been affected by them. We donate a percentage of our proceeds to such causes, as well as donate our time.

Captain Charles Moore and the Algalita Marine Research Foundation. Captain Moore discovered the North Pacific Gyre, which is the giant patch of plastic floating in the Pacific Ocean. His subsequent research has revealed "the most under-recognized yet ubiquitous issues facing our planet; plastic debris in our oceans. Algalita's research team is at the forefront of the investigation into plastic pollution in our oceans.

The team is examining both the scope of plastic contamination and the implications this pollution has on the food chain. The focus of Algalita's current research includes the prevalence and quantification of plastic debris in the North Pacific Sub-tropical Gyre (NPSG), biological impact of plastics on marine life and the human food chain."
